Breaking News: Police sergeant, 3 others arrested for robbing deputy governor


The Nigeria police force has arrested a police sergeant and three other persons - They suspects were said to have robbed the residence of deputy Governor of Jigawa state, Abubakar Hadejia - The police force had recently said it smashed a 30-man armed robbery gang terrorising Sauka federal housing area of Abuja A police sergeant and three others have been arrested for robbing the residence of the deputy Governor of Jigawa state, Abubakar Hadejia. Premium Times reports that the suspects were alleged to have attacked the house on Sunday, March 18.  The Nigeria Police Force has also confirmed the arrest. Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that the Nigeria police force at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) said it has smashed a 30-man armed robbery gang terrorising Sauka federal housing area of Abuja. The police faced the robbers on Friday, March 16, after the gang attacked the area and a concerned resident called to inform the police. A gun battle ensued between the robbers and the police when the police arrived the scene. It was reported that two of the robbers were shot dead while three escaped with gunshot injuries. Three others were, however, arrested.
