Man Commits Suicide By Jumping From 5th Floor Of UCH, Ibadan (Photo)

This morning, a man in his early 50s committed suicide by jumping from the 5th floor of the Administrative Building of the University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Oyo State.

The incident, which caught many people unaware, attracted their attention when they suddenly saw the man landing with a thud on the cemented floor outside the Mortuary Department of the hospital.

Dressed in blue native attire, wearing a pair of palm sandals, the deceased, whose identity was yet to be ascertained by the police smashed his head when he hit it on the floor.

Though the workers at the hospital were still on strike as at present, the management, according to the Public Relations Officer of the hospital, Deji Bobade, detailed a doctor to examine him who certified him dead, after which the police were invited and took some investigation notes before the remains were deposited at the hospital morgue.

Unconfirmed reports indicated it that the man left a note indicating he was duped of N30million and so decided to take his life. The note was said to have been taken away by the police.
